Here at Los Alpes, we offer diverse carpentry services that will help you get the perfect finishing for your wood. These services are free with the purchase of the material.

Brushing

One of the services that we offer is brushing. The wood brushing is applied to file asperities, and decrease its thickness, level it or polish the wood’s faces and edges. The wood brushing is done with an industrial brush that consists of an adjustable rotary drum equipped with blades. This way, each piece will be calibrated to the exact measure that you, our customers, require.

We offer the wood brushing on the faces and edges according to the customer’s needs.

Rounding

As a part of the carpentry services that Los Alpes offers, you will find wood rounding. With the wood rounding, both sides of the edges on the piece of wood are being polished, and it is through this that the “sharp edges” of the wood are eliminated, accomplishing softness proved by touching it and looking at it.

Tongue and Groove Joining

The Tongue and Groove Joining, or tongue and groove joint, is another carpentry service that we offer. This is a system used to assemble brushed wood boards through trimming and cutting on its surface. To apply this, you carve on the ends of the board two types of profiles: tongue, a tab sticking out, and groove, a canal or entry.

This way, an even and resistant, smooth and aesthetic only surface will be accomplished (through the assembly of different pieces).

Overlapping

The overlapping is another carpentry service that you could need and that we could bring you with the quality that has always distinguished us and the experience to back it up. To overlap means to redraw a “z” on the wood, specifically on both ends of the board.

This service, like the other we offer, will allow the pieces to join evenly.

Molding

In the mainly visual and decorative–although not exclusively-, Los Alpes is aware that it could be required different types of moldings. We handle a lot of different types of moldings that can be used in views, baseboards, kitchens, furniture, etc.
